Rwanda national team striker Meddie Kagere has officially joined Tanzania's Namungo FC on a six-month loan deal.

Kagere made the move from Singida Fountain Gate FC due to limited playing time since the start of the 2023/24 Tanzania Premier League season.
Namungo FC expressed their excitement about the new signing. They welcomed Kagere, also known as the 'Bull Striker', who has already made a name for himself in the Tanzanian league.
"Wa are happy to introduce you 'Bull Striker' Meddie Kagere as a new member of our Namungo FC team,” the club shared the news on their social media platforms.
At 37 years old, Kagere brings experience to Namungo FC. He previously played for Simba SC before joining Singida.
In the 2018-19 and 2019-20 seasons, he was the top scorer in the Tanzanian League, scoring 23 and 22 goals respectively.
Kagere leaves Singida in the fifth place on the league table after 14 games, while Namungo FC is currently in eighth place with 17 points.
