Police FC striker Dany Usengimana has been named the Azam Rwanda Premier League Player of the Month for January following his excellent performances.
The Player of the Month of the Azam Rwanda Premier League is voted by fans via the Umuseke.rw platform after being nominated by a team of 4 technicians and eight journalists.
Usengimana who is the Azam Rwanda Premier League’s current top scorer with 12 goals staged brilliant performances last month to edge fellow contestants to the title as he polled 49.5% while fellow APR Fc defender Aimable Nsabimana came second with 20.5%, Bugesera Fc striker Bertrand Iradukunda secured 16.9% while APR Fc midfielder Amran Nshimiyimana managed 13% respectively.
The Player of the Month award is a monthly project organized by Umuseke Ltd and supported by Azam Rwanda Premier League and Rwanda Football Federation.
Rayon Sports lead the league table with 36 points, two points ahead of reigning champions APR FC while Police FC are third with their top striker Usengimana leading the top scorer’s chart with 12 goals.
