RE: "Malawian court seeks guidance to proceed with Genocide suspect Murekezi’s extradition case” (The New Times, January 18).
Under the law, anyone who obtains anything under false pretense is a criminal offender.
The fact that there is overwhelming evidence that Murekezi obtained a Malawian passport fraudulently is enough reason to cancel his citizenship and deport him.
The fact that he illegally obtained the passport means that he was hiding from something.
Malawian Government should comply with Rwanda’s extradition request to bring him and be tried in his native land where he committed atrocities during the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi.
