It’s highly unlikely that any of us (the 99 percent) would get a job offer from Donald Trump, seeing as he has hired mostly millionaires and billionaires for top posts in his Administration but in the event that it happened, would you take the job?

At a time when anyone who remotely comes across as tolerant of Trump is demonized and castigated by the "Never Trump” Camp, I’d think twice before answering the recruitment call.

Some celebrities received death threats for just agreeing to perform at his inauguration while established entities thought to be supportive of his policies have been boycotted by the "Resist Trump” movement. So if I were running a small business or had a stake in one, I would be reluctant to have any ties with Trump.

That aside, I think we all have a good idea of what kind of boss Trump is. He’s loud and overbearing but that’s not new and those who’ve watched The Apprentice and his other shows already knew this but if like myself you have esteem issues, you’d find his exuberant personality daunting.

I’m particularly not a fan of the pointing and "shutting down” we see in many of his interactions with the press. If experienced reporters stutter and stumble over their interview questions, I wouldn’t stand a chance. Can you imagine a one-on-one interaction with him? I’m not saying he’s a terrible person and in fact he comes across as a nice guy, especially around his children.

Also, many former employees have lauded his generosity along with numerous accounts of big tips and lavish gifts to ordinary people but still, I don’t imagine he’s as approachable as say Barack Obama or even George W. Bush.

So, I can’t see myself knocking on his door and asking for a raise. He would probably ask why I thought I deserved more money and I’m really not sure I’d find the right words.

I would take a scolding as long as no one else heard about it but Trump is not the kind of boss who keeps secrets and his boisterous personality is to blame. Again, it’s just the way he is and I bet he would bring the issue up in subsequent staff meetings about the girl who went to his office asking for a raise and how he handled it.

There would probably be numerous tweets about it as well which I imagine would read like this: "There are all kinds of people knocking on my door all the time asking for money, I don’t know why.

Not good...” or "Unless you close at least ten deals a week, don’t ask me to raise your salary, that I can tell you…” What would make it even harder to ask Trump for a raise, especially now that he’s President, is the fact that he himself is not taking a salary.

How are regular people like myself who would be happy to earn $10,000 expected to ask a man who turned down over $400,000 for a raise? Maybe this exactly why he’s hiring millionaires and billionaires because he knows they’ll spend more time working on the next big deal instead or complaining about poor pay!
