The US-based Rwandan singer, born Benjamin Mugisha, is set to perform in Rubavu and Huye Districts from February 4 – 11, alongside local stars King James and Riderman. The shows are organised by Airtel Rwanda, to sensitize customers to take advantage of the telco’s latest product called ‘Tera Stori’, a new voice-call tariff package.
‘Tera Stori’ will enable consumers to call for free without any form of subscription as well as free MBs to browse for the whole day.
The Habibi hitmaker said the event is a great opportunity for him to reunite with his "brothers” King James and Riderman as well as his fans in the countryside.
"I am very happy that I will be able to perform on the same stage with my friends for many years through the musical journey,” he said, adding that: "I commend Airtel Rwanda because it has made it affordable and easy to talk with friends and other people through Tera Stori-tariff package. I and my colleagues in the music industry have an opportunity offered to us by Airtel to go out there and reconnect with the people. Our fans in Huye and Rubavu will surely have a happy time with us.”

John Magara, the Brand and Communications Manager for Airtel Rwanda, said both shows are free.
"We wished to give the opportunity to all categories of Rwandans to enjoy Rwandan music live.”
In Rubavu, the show will be held at Ntengo stadium on February 4, and in Huye, at the former main taxi park.
King James said that such a partnership with telecommunication companies to take music entertainment to Rwandans in their communities is very good idea.
"I am very happy that we meet once again as artistes to perform together after a long time,” he said promising both Rubavu and Huye revelers a great performance.
The Ben is also scheduled for another performance in Kampala, Uganda, on February 18, and head to Switzerland for another concert, before returning to the United States. editorial@newtimes.co.rw
