Ghana midfielder Mohammed Kudus says there is always pressure in playing for the Black Stars.
Kudus, who is coming to the 2023 AFCON with an impeccable form having already netted six goals for West Ham in the English Premier League, maintains that it is an honor to play for Ghana but Ghanaians always demand a lot that sparks pressure on every member of the squad.

"To be part of the squad in a country of 30 million is a huge privilege that comes with a lot of responsibilities, so I don’t joke with national team football,” Kudus told the press.
”It’s a big privilege for me, my family and everyone. There is a lot of pressure from the country because you are literally playing for the whole nation.”
"So, representing my country is a big privilege and I always see it as a big opportunity to make the people happy. We are going to do our best for the country."
In-form Kudus further mentioned that he will go all out for Ghana and asked the supporters to be behind the team.
"I am fully committed to it. I always do my best when I am in the shirt...so we just urge the fans for more support and prayers and we are going to do our best in the tournament,” he added
Ghana will face Cape Verde on Sunday, January 14, at the Stade Felix Houphouet-Boigny in Abidjan in their opening first fixture of Group B which also includes Egypt and Mozambique.
