RE: "Police hand over recovered vehicles to Ugandan envoy” (The New Times, January 25).

I believe other Interpol member countries should follow the example of Rwanda on being strict with fighting and intercepting cross-border crimes.

We sometimes wonder how a vehicle that is under trace get registered and given a particular plate yet the Interpol communication system (I-24/7), of which we all share, indicates that it’s wanted. If we have to end cross-border crimes, we need good cooperation or collaboration in exchanging such information that will help arrest the criminals and possibly bring them to justice.
