Are you an Airtel Rwanda customer and have been finding it hard to contact friends, family and business associates? Well, you now need to pay only Rwf30 for Airtel to Airtel calls of up to 61 minutes thanks to the firm’s tariff plan under a new drive known as ‘Tera Stori’.

Speaking the launch of Tera Stori, Moses Abindabizemu, the Airtel marketing director, said, "Customers will pay for the first minute for on-net call and enjoy up to 60 extra minutes, as well as access free data to use for Twitter, Facebook and WhatsApp social networks.”

The telecom has also slashed calls across networks to Rwf30 per minute from Rwf38 a minute previously, Abindabizemu added.  He said the new tariff plans seek to provide customer solutions that promote communication and ease way of doing business.

John Magara, the head brand and communications at Airtel, said the initiative gives customers unlimited choices on voice and data usage, adding that data has increasingly become vital for business operations.  "The need for data has increased among different market segments and we want to make it easier for customers to access Internet and transact,” Magara said.

Delphine Muhawenimana, an Airtel customer, said the new tariff plan is business-friendly, adding that it will ease communication between family and friends as well as buyers and suppliers, and reduce cost of doing business.
