The Rwanda National Investment Trust (RNIT) Iterambere Fund Net Asset Value (NAV) has hit Rwf102.81 per unit as of Friday January 20, driven by growing interest among Rwandans to save and invest.
The Fund opened at Rwf102.71 the previous Monday, January 16 and gained marginally to Rwf102.74 the following days (Tuesday, Wednesday) before recording Rwf102.79 per unit on Thursday. The net asset value per unit eventually hit the week’s high of Rwf102.81 last Friday. The Fund’s NAV had closed the previous week at Rwf102.63 per unit on January 13.
NAV is declared daily, and indicates the underlying value per unit. This performance translates to an annualised return of 9.74 per cent since inception.
The Fund IPO that closed in October raised over Rwf1 billion. It has two options – an investment option and saving option, which Rwandans can exploit to save or invest to secure their future.
RNIT Iterambere Fund seeks to promote, stimulate and enhance savings from all income earners. One can invest as little as Rwf2,000.
