After making a winning start to their title defense last week, handball league champions Police have an opportunity to open a three-point gap if they manage to beat University of Rwanda, Huye Campus today in Huye.
The defending champions defeated University of Rwanda College of Education (RU-CE) 52-25 in their opening match, while their rivals APR also comfortably won 58-20 against UR-Huye.
Antoine Ntabanganyimana’s Police that have won the last three consecutive league titles and are unbeaten locally in two seasons will be aiming to make two wins in a row.
"This season we expect a very different competition, many teams tried to overhaul themselves especially APR that signed some of our players, but I think we are also stronger,” said Ntabanganyimana.
Nyakabanda will play their first game of the season taking on UR College of Education at the latter’s ground.
