IPRC basketball team just finished has just finished thumping Patriots BBC with 80-75 points in a match that was held at Petit Stade in Remera this Friday afternoon.
Buhake Albert the IPRC Kigali coach says his team had nothing in mind apart from the anger of losing to REG in the past match and that losing taught them a lesson that made them win Patriots BBC.
Henry Mwinuka the coach for Patriots however says his losing was caused by the many repeated mistakes from his players that gave away the match to IPRC
Although Patriots BBC lost the match, it started well above IPRC having won the first half of the game with 29-15.
In the second half of the game, IPRC Kigali came back with vigor and took the lead with a 28-13 however Patriot BBC again increased its chances and won the third quarter with a 20-19 before one Buhake Albert took a way the game in the last quarter with a 18-13 in favor of IPRC.
In another development on the same afternoon, APR BBC won Espoir BBC with 71-70 points in a match that saw the army team extend its unbeaten run to four matches acquiring 8 points in the championship.
Espoir Basketball Club first won the first quarter with 18-16 points; however APRC came into the second quarter with fire and won with 28-18
The third quarter, Espoir refused to give up the game and won 17-12 after which both teams drew in the last quarter with 17-17.
This weekend on Saturday, the matches will continue where REG will host IPRC South at peti stade Remera from 11h 00 in the morning.
