Met Office, the UK’s National Meteorological Service, is seeking an individual or company experienced in local communications and based in Rwanda or the wider East Africa region to provide technical assistance to a project based at Meteo Rwanda in Kigali.
The project, which is funded through the Government of Rwanda’s Climate Change Fund (FONERWA) and is being implemented by Meteo Rwanda, is called "Strengthening Meteo Rwanda’s Weather and Climate Services to Support Development”.
The provider will work with Meteo Rwanda, in country, to improve the communication of weather and climate information in Rwanda by building its capabilities to produce and effectively disseminate new and improved products.
The individual/ company should have at least 5 years professional experience in the design, development and implementation (including training) of communication of information services to end users.
