Macedonian giants FC Shkupi are on the heels of Marines FC’s Arthur Gitego as the race for the striker’s services continues.
With six months left on his existing Marines contract, the 20-year-old centre forward is a hot commodity in the transfer market with the Macedonian champions now ready to beat AFC Leopards to his signature.
"It is true I have been offered a three-year deal from FK Shkupi but we have not made a decision yet," Gitego told Times Sport.

Gitego made his international debut with Amavubi in the 2026 World Cup qualifier against Zimbabwe on November 15, 2023 and he has seen his stock rising sharply thanks to his impressive first round of the Primus National League. .
Kenyan outfit AFC Leopards and Tunisia’s CA Bizertin have also made a bid for him but the Centre de Formation product is yet to make a decision on his immediate future.
A move to Macedonia may look appetizing to Gitego considering the fact that fellow countryman Abdul Rwatubyaye played there while he will also have the chance to feature in European competitions.
