Dear Editor,
I would like to congratulate fellow Rwandans on the numerous protests that we have been carrying out, since the day we learnt that Rose Kabuye had been arrested in Germany, allegedly over the downing of former President Juvenal Habyarimana’s plane.
It was with great joy that I heard over the news about Rose being releases on bail. After gaining her freedom, the hero, liberator and mother assured journalists that she was not scared because she is very innocent.
Adding, "I know that when I get a chance to explain what happened everything will be okay, so I am not scared.”
I strongly believe that through our protests the whole world realised that we are a very determined people who will not take intimidation lightly. We are ready to expose France’s role in the 1994 Genocide and whatever the case, we shall still stand for justice.
I would also like to express sincere gratitude to all the women who preferred to leave their comfortable homes and pitch camp at the German Embassy all these days.
