Kayitesi, 23, joined the 'Blues' on December 23, 2023 for a one-year deal, bringing her eight-year stay at rivals AS Kigali WFC to an end.
"It is every player's dream to play for a big club like Rayon Sports. I can't say it was an easy choice to leave a club I joined at 14 but, at some point, I felt like I needed change,” she told Times Sport.
"I wanted to experience new things, and Rayon Sports was a perfect fit for me.”
Kayitesi was one of standout players for AS Kigali and she is widely regarded as one of the best in the domestic league.

The Rwanda international said that she is adapting well to new life at Rayon as she looks forward to helping the Blues end AS Kigali’s long-running dominance of domestic women football.
"I have settled in very well because I know many players here, some of whom I played with in AS Kigali and others in the national team. So I can't complain."
"I have won titles at AS Kigali, so I am here to do the same. I am sure the club is making all these efforts to bring in these big name players for a big reason."
Kayitesi is one of many big AS Kigali players to have crossed to new rivals Blues in the past 12 months.
Others include Libellée Nibagwire, Immaculée Uwimbabazi, Sifa Uwanyirigira, Dorothée Mukeshimana, Joselyne Mukantaganira, Jeannette Mukeshimana and Alice Kalimba.
