This year, Rwanda could be on the verge of recording their worst ever outing in the East African Golf Challenge.

Rwanda remained rooted at the bottom of the competition table after another awful show in the second round on Wednesday.

The team still failed to pick up its first point of the tournament after a dreadful show in the foursomes round at the par 72 Leisure Golf Club course in Mombassa, Kenya.

Rwanda’s bad outing in Foursomes (second round)
Team captain Steven Katwiremu and Francois Habimana wasted an early lead to lose 2-3 to home boys Francis Kimani and James Karanja while Ernest Ndayisenga and Céléstin Habineza also lost 1-2 to Salum Dilunga and Frank Roman of Tanzania.

Uganda’s Peter Ssendawula and Silver Opio partnered well to beat Rwanda’s Jules Dusabe and Davis Kashaka 6-4.
