Mbaoma suffered a knock during APR’s 3-1 quarterfinal win over Young Africans on Sunday, January 7, and club doctor Maj. Dr. Jean Marie Vianney Hope confirmed that the forward is not fit enough to face Mlandege.

"It (the injury) is not serious. We are helping him to regain his fitness and there are high chances that he could play in the final if the team goes through,” said Hope.

Besides Mbaoma, Thierry Froger will also have to do without the services of defender Apam Bemol and forward Taiba Mbonyumwami who are both sidelined through injuries.

Apam is already ruled out of the competition as he is expected to spend between four and six weeks on the sidelines.

Meanwhile, the military side were handed an injury boost as Clement Niyigena resumed first team training on Monday after missing three matches and he could return to action on Tuesday against Mlandege.
