Local female musical duo of Charly and Nina will entertain guests at the ‘Moving her Forward’ dialogue, an event that advocates for women empowerment and gender equality.

Salha Kaitesi, the organizer noted that the event will have entertainment aspect to enable people from all walks of life participate in the dialogue. She is the founder of ‘Beauty of Rwanda’, a non-profit organisation that economically empowers women and girls in Rwanda.

"We want our guests to have fun and also have a dialogue about the importance of empowering women and girls. People usually associate such events with seriousness but this is to show the public that our mindsets must change because empowering someone can be anywhere and in any form,” she said.

Kaitesi added that the objective of the event is to encourage and urge the public on the importance of empowering women and girls to achieve gender equality.

The event will take place on the December 17 at Euphoria restaurant in Kimihurura based Rubangura luxury apartment starting from 5p.m.

The event will also include sales and auctions of products made by the ‘Beauty of Rwanda’ beneficiaries.
