President Paul Kagame, yesterday, hosted the fourth meeting of the advisory group on African Union reform at Muhazi, in Eastern Province.
The group took note of progress made since the last meeting in defining the capabilities needed to deliver on the African Union’s mission and implement the Kigali Decision on Financing, according to a statement from President’s office.
The goal is an efficient and effective African Union that is fit for the purpose of driving Africa’s integration agenda and projecting the continent’s voice on the international stage.
The session also focused on synthesising inputs on African Union reform received from around the continent, ahead of the President’s report to the next Summit in January 2017, the statement said.
