Basketball regular season league champions Patriots will begin their title defence taking on United Generation Basketball (UGB) on Friday evening at Amahoro Indoor Stadium.
The Kagugu-based outfit will be hoping to make a good start after their scheduled season opener opponents Bank of Kigali (BK) Basketball Club, dramatically pulled out of the league 48 hours before the league start last weekend.
Fresh from winning the pre-season tournament two-weeks ago, Patriots are hoping for a successful campaign, according to head coach Henry Mwinuka.
"In our pre-season, I noted some issues to improve on and that is what we have been working on; we hope to win more trophies this season, that is our target,” said Mwinuka.
On the other hand, UGB will be seeking to bounce back from their 91-45 defeat to APR in their season opener last Sunday.
The league continues on Saturday with Cercle Sportif de Kigali (CSK) hosting Rusizi and IPRC-South playing host to APR in Huye, while former champions Espoir will take on 30-Plus at CSK court.
