League champions Thousand Hills, claimed their trophy of the season beating tournament organizers, Kiali Sharks 14-5 in the final played on Saturday at Utexrwa ground in Kacyiru.

Thousand Hills captain Bigirimana said, "We’re delighted to have won a second title in period of two months. The Sharks 7s is a tournament to rejoice because it is a tournament we haven’t played in for long.”

"We have achieved the objective by playing just like what the coach wanted, we had pressure to reach the final which we did and went on to win the title. I can’t say the competition was easy except that it is not as competitive compared to previous years,” Bigirimana noted.

For their win, The Hills were awarded a trophy and a new ruby ball. In the semi-finals, Thousand Hills beat Lion de Fer 28-0 while Kigali Sharks beat Kamonyi Puma 26-0.
