Indorwa Cricket Club captain John Mihir Bhatt is confident his side can scoop their first ever UAE Exchange and 50 overs Premier League title after storming the finals last weekend.
On Sunday, Indorwa Cricket Club hammered RCA-development team by 3 runs and progressed to the final of this year’s UAE Exchange and 50 over’s premier league slated for December 11.
"We are very excited that we shall be playing the final in this very tight competition,” said Mihir Bhatt.
Indorwa will face-off with the winner of the semifinal game between Challengers and Terugu Royals this Sunday at Kicukiro stadium.
"It will be a tight game for whoever will qualify to the final between Challengers and Terugu royals, they are all great teams with very good and experienced players,” Mihir Bhatt added
Indorwa has been very competitive in Rwanda cricket for over 6 years now with quite a number of trophies in their cabin; however they are yet to win their first UAE title since 2013 when the league was established.
In this particular league, they were 2014 UAE Exchange 50 over’s Runner-up; they have won four INAR CUP championships in 2011, 2012, 2014 and 2016 respectively.
They were also crowned champions of computer point tournament in 2012 as well as the runners up of the same tournament in 2014.
On the way to the final, Indorwa Cricket Club qualified as the second runners up to Challengers in Pool A.
They lost their first game against Challengers and won their second game against Right Guards, thus qualifying as the second runners up in the pool.
