Looking good is every woman’s wish and they will do what it takes to stand out. A cold shoulder top with its cut out design; is one of today’s trendiest outfits that can be relied on to bring out that elegant look in any woman.
The advantage of a cold shoulder top is that it’s versatile and stylish especially when paired with anything ranging from fitting jeans, leggings, long to shorts skirts as well as on short pants.
How and when to wear it
Vanessa Mukashema is a tailor/designer at Gikondo market. She says that one should opt for a plain and right sized cold top that will be able to flatter their figure.
"For a conservative look; one should go for accessories that look clean and pretty, but not too bold; pearls, small earrings, and tasteful necklaces or bracelets can be won to accessorize the top well,” she says.
For a trendier look, Mukashema says one should go for perfectly fitting jeans, which will make one more stylish and trendy too.
Again, that one can still rock by having this trend on a dress, whether casual, formal or other night parties. With the right selection, one can wear them on long skirts, even in church and still look decent.
The cold shoulder trend is also one of those trends which, when matched with the right colour, can be able to blend with your skin tone.
According to Mukashema, the great thing about cold shoulder top is that one of any body type can pull off the trend and still be comfortable.
If you are thinking of what to wear on your feet that will match the look, worry not, Annette Nyirashemeza, a boutique owner in Remera says, with fitting jeans; go for boots, either flat or heeled. This will give your cold shoulder top a more of cool look.
Besides, one can still pair the trend with some flats, which are great for keeping an outfit casual, yet sophisticated at the same time.
