The government Rwf15 billion Treasury bond that was issued on Wednesday last week was listed on the Rwanda Stock Exchange (RSE) yesterday during an almost muted trading session, the daily market report indicates. The three-year bond has a coupon rate of 12 per cent.

The government Rwf15 billion Treasury bond that was issued on Wednesday last week was listed on the Rwanda Stock Exchange (RSE) yesterday during an almost muted trading session, the daily market report indicates. The three-year bond has a coupon rate of 12 per cent.

Meanwhile, only the Crystal Telecom counter was active, trading 100 shares worth Rwf8,000. The counter was unchanged at Rwf80. Both the Rwanda Share Index and the All Share Index were also stable, closing at 121.16 and 127.41 points, respectively. Bank of Kigali closed at Rwf237; Bralirwa was at Rwf140; Equity Bank at Rwf334; while NMG closed at Rwf1,200; KCB at Rwf330, and Uchumi Supermarkets was at Rwf104.

At the end of the formal trading hours, Bank of Kigali had outstanding offers of 6.4 million shares between Rwf235 and Rwf260, but there were no buyers, while Bralirwa received outstanding offers of 35,700 shares between Rwf140 and Rwf143 and an outstanding bid for 50,000 shares at Rwf135. On Crystal Telecom counter, there were outstanding bids for 20,600 shares between Rwf72 and Rwf80 and an outstanding offer of 10,000 shares at 85. On the bond market, there were outstanding bids for Rwf45 million worth of bonds between Rwf100.5 and Rwf104 and no offers.
