The Joint Action Development Forum (JADF), district leadership and partners have been called on to draw action plans based on agreed activities which prioritise citizen priorities and stimulate shared development.
The call was made by Rwanda Governance Board (RGB) chief executive Anastase Shyaka during a two-day quarterly JADF coordination meeting in Bugesera last week.
The meeting attracted JADF coordinators from all districts, district vice-mayors in charge of economic development, provincial executive secretaries and representatives of NGOs.
"I would like to ask you to enhance and keep improving these innovations like off-grid power distribution that change people’s lives. Through the cooperation JADF has stepped forward to determine good operational line. Today, districts have different innovations and experiences that you should share to make this body vibrant,” he said.
He reminded them to ensure accountability, transparency and even distribution of development activities across all areas.
"We don’t need to see development activities at the roadsides while there is nothing elsewhere,” Shyaka said.
Jean Paul Munyandamutsa, the in-charge of JADF at RGB, said the meeting aimed at assessing their partnership with partners, both government, and non-governmental institutions and sharing ideas on how they can assist JADF at the district level to work better.
