The 20th African Securities Exchanges Association (ASEA) annual conference opens today at the Kigali Serena Hotel. The Rwanda Stock Exchange (RSE) is expected to launch its electronic trading platform during the continental conference, according to sources.
The platform was earlier planned for June. The conference, that brings together over 300 experts and stakeholders from capital market firms, regulators, law firms and issuers, domestic, regional and international investors, rating agencies, portfolio and investment managers, government representatives, and technology providers, also coincides with the association’s AGM.
The theme of this year’s conference is, "The Road to 2030: Making the African Capital Markets Relevant to the real economy”.
