Bugesera FC will be hoping to put an end to league leaders Rayon Sports’ unbeaten run when the two sides lock horns today afternoon at Kigali Regional Stadium.

However, they face a tough mountain to climb as Djuma Masudi’s boys look set to maintain their form and protect their three-point cushion at the top of the log, following their 1-0 victory over Sunrise FC last weekend.

Rayon have 13 points ahead of second placed Sunrise, with 10, while Bugesera are in the 8th place with eight points.

Bugesera’s Vincent Mashami is full of confidence that his side is capable of beating Rayon.

"We want to win this game, we know we face a very tough challenge because Rayon are in great form but we are ready to put up a fight nonetheless,” he said.

On the other hand, Masudi said they are aiming at nothing less than grabbing all three points today.

"Our objective is to win every game, which means we will go into Saturday’s game to win,” he told Saturday Sport.

This season Rayon Sports are the only team that are still with a clean sheet this season.

Last season, Rayon defeated Bugesera home and away, scoring a total of five unanswered goals – 4-0 and then 1-0. The Blues have so far won four games this season and drawn one while Bugesera have won two, lost one and drawn two.

Meanwhile, in the other Rwanda premier league matches today, Espoir host Mukura VS in Rusizi while Marines take on Amagaju at Umuganda Stadium. On Sunday, Musanze will host Police, Kirehe will play against SC Kiyovu, while Etincelles will entertain Sunrise.
