Samuel Mugisha won the best climber for a second stage in a row.

Skol Brewery Limited has earmarked US$120,000 (about Rwf98.8m) to support Tour du Rwanda for the next four years, according to the Commercial Director, Mathias Bekangba.

Bekangba said the boost is part of the company’s corporate social responsibility of giving back to society through sports.

The company started sponsoring Tour du Rwanda in 2013 before signing a four-year contract extension last year.

"It is important for cycling and for us because we are associating with people who always like our products, and cycling is popular. Associating with cycling will definitely help us to penetrate the ever growing demand for Skol in Rwanda,” Bekangba said.

He added that the company will continue to work with FERWACY to promote cycling in the country.

On top of the money, Skol also sponsors the red jersey for the stage winners. Other Tour du Rwanda sponsors include; Cogebanque, Soras, Rwandair, RDB, SP, Inyange, Sebmed, Ameki Color, Gaps Media LTD and French Embassy.
