Yogesh 48 runs off 66 balls and Basu Jhothi 33 runs off 53 balls

Terugu Royal cricket club all-rounder Yogesh Kulakarni was on fin form as he inspired his team to the semi-finals of the on-going UAE Exchange and 50-over Premier League on Sunday at Kicukiro cricket ground.

Terugu won the toss and opted to bat firstmaking 196 runs all out in 37.2 overs and in response, Kerala Hunters were bowled out for 138 runs in 38.4 overs hence losing the game by 58 runs.

"We have qualified for the semi-finals of which was one of our main objectives since the tournament began,” said Terugu Royals captin, Basu Jhothi.

He added that, "Having won the Computer Point T20 tournament recently, we hope to reproduce the same form and try to win this 50-overs league,”

The partnership of Basu and Kulakarni produced 81 runs. Kulakarni was named man of the match after he single handedly made 48 runs and took 5 wickets.Terugu Royals qualified from Group B as first runners up with four points, behind RCA Development team which tops the group with 8 points in two games while Kerala Hunters remain bottom with a win.

In the last four, Terugu Royals will face off with whoever will finish top of Group A, which comprises; Right Guards and Indorwa CC as well as the defending champions Challengers cricket club.
