Miss Rwanda Photogenic 2019 Claudine Uwase Muyango and AS Kigali goalkeeper Yves Kimenyi are now husband and wife before the law, after saying their vows in a civil wedding ceremony held at Kigali City Hall on Thursday, January 4.

The New Times understands that the celebrity couple was supposed to have their civil wedding in 2023 but postponed it after Kimenyi suffered an injury that required surgery.

The two were first reported to be dating in 2019 and went public with their love affair by getting engaged in 2021, before welcoming their firstborn, Miguel Yanis Kimenyi, in August that year.

The two are also said to be having other wedding ceremonies on Saturday, January 6, in a colourful wedding that will be attended by some of the country's biggest celebrities, from sports to top media personalities and musicians, among others.

Muyango, who turns 24 this year, is known for throwing big parties in Kigali's pubs and clubs, while 33-year-old Kimenyi has played for the country's top football clubs including APR, Rayon Sports and Kiyovu Sports.
