Editor, RE: "Govt tables new public savings scheme that seeks to uplift informal sector” (The New Times, November 12).

This kind of saving scheme has been in existence in many countries such as Canada and they work very well. They were set up as a way to encourage people to save for their retirement in addition to the employer and government plans.

This is a positive move by the Government and Rwandans and should embrace it because and it is for their own benefits anyway. Semugeshi
