Rose Kabuye, the Director of State Protocol, was arrested in Frankfurt, the capital of Germany. She was on a diplomatic mission in Germany.

The Government of Rwanda protested the arrest saying Kabuye is innocent and that the German authorities should not have detained her.

Instead, they should have accorded her the dignity that she deserves to perform her duties in Germany.

Kabuye is a professional and courageous soldier who played an important role in liberating Rwanda together with many others.

Rwandans have responded to Kabuye’s arrest by protesting.
