Is Uncle Austin ready for a second marriage?

Radio presenter cum singer Austin Luwano, commonly known as Uncle Austin, has lived an interesting life and it seems it’s about to get even more interesting.

If you remember very well, Uncle Austin, a social media fanatic, was married once but his wife left to live in Europe where she has been staying for 10 years now.

The singer went through tough times, before he met his current live-in girlfriend, Joannah Mwiza, with whom he has a daughter.

After fighting tooth and nail to get a divorce from his first wife and finally succeeding, it seems that Uncle Austin is now ready to settle down with his baby mama.

The singer recently took to Instagram where he not only wished Mwiza a happy birthday, but he used the opportunity to declare his undying love for her  and promised to be by her side forever. Is that the sound of wedding bells? Perhaps.

We can only wish those two lots of good luck. 

MTV, EMA stir confusion

If you follow music news keenly, you must be aware of Nigerian singer Wizkid’s wins at the just concluded MTV Europe Music Awards. Wizkid, who was awarded the ‘Best Worldwide Artiste’ and ‘International African Act’ awards in Rotterdam, Holland, has been all over social media flaunting his accolades, but his celebrations have been cut short.

The talented singer, who is also sometimes referred to as ‘StarBoy’, has had to retreat from the limelight after the organisers of the awards realised that they had made an error and presented him the ‘International African Act’ award yet the rightful winner was Tanzania’s Ali Kiba. And while WizKid has retreated from social media, deleting all the posts about the awards, Ali Kiba has confirmed that the award will be coming from Nigeria to its rightful place.

The error has also pitted both stars’ fans against each other with Ali Kiba’s followers taunting WizKid and flooding his social media platforms with memes and jokes about the scandal. Wow. For once, we are stunned too.

Meddy, Christopher in collabo

Ever since singer Meddy left Rwanda to settle in the US, it seems that all stars were lined up to bless him.

The singer has risen through the ranks, with performances all over Europe and the United States, being nominated for awards and gaining an even bigger following in Rwanda and the region.

So it is not a surprise that Christopher, his colleague in the music industry, has joined hands with him to work on a song that many are calling one of "the most anticipated collaborations” this year.

Christopher admitted that he is Meddy’s fan and is hoping to capitalise on his fame to also raise his portfolio. The song’s title and release date are yet to be announced but we are keeping an eye on this one.

Is Koffi Olomide hoodwinking Rwandans?

By now, many have seen a brief video in which Congolese singer Koffi Olomide announces a concert that he says he is staging in Rwanda on December 3.

While many were excited to hear that the Selfie singer was coming to perform, exactly twenty days to the show, nothing else seems to have come to light about the show. Whether it’s the venue, the fee or even the time, nothing has been announced.

Interestingly too, none of the music promoters in Rwanda seems to have any knowledge of such a show. 

What is really going on? Is Koffi Olomide coming or is he playing one of his many games? We will keep you posted.
