Karamuzi said the firm has reduced prices for iron sheets at the show by 15 per cent.

Joy Uwimbabazi, a shopper, said she bought Danish bread, which costs Rwf500 in shops, at Rwf200 a piece at the expo, while seasame bread (big) was at Rwf1,000 compared to Rwf2,000 in shops. Alphonsine Nikuze, an exhibitor from Women for Women International, said the group will use the trade fair to promote their handicrafts. "We have cut our prices to attract customers… our hand bags now cost Rwf6,000 each, from Rwf8000,” she said.
The expo was organised by Kicukiro District Joint Action Development Forum and other partners to promote businesses and industries in the district, as well as help them network and learn to enhance quality and become more competitive. The expo will end on Saturday and attracted over 130 exhibitors.
