LETTERS: Exams not ends in themselves

I'm happy to say that as a secondary educator in the United States, I agree with the all points the author has made. I am saddened to see that, even in Rwanda, you face the same problems as we do here: the results on exams are more important than the learning experience.

RE: "It is better to guard the learning process than the exams” (The New Times, November 6).

I'm happy to say that as a secondary educator in the United States, I agree with the all points the author has made. I am saddened to see that, even in Rwanda, you face the same problems as we do here: the results on exams are more important than the learning experience.

I will not comment on the first part of the story about US elections: I am appalled and embarrassed.
