Police FC head coach Innocent Seninga is looking to make it three back to back wins when the law enforcers’ side take on Gicumbi in the national football league on Friday at Kicukiro stadium.

Seninga’s team secured a 2-0 away win against Amagaju in Nyamagabe last weekend, thanks to goals from Justin Mico and Japhet Iramurora in the 35th and 58th minutes, respectively.

Police lost the opening game against Rayon Sports 3-0 before winning twice in a row, against Bugesera FC and Amagaju. Police are in 7th place with six points, two points and a place ahead of Gicumbi.

"We have to keep the winning spirit from the last win matches. Ideally, we would love to win every game but it is very difficult and, therefore, what we need to is to improve because we want to stay near the top teams,” Seninga said.

He noted that, "We started the season badly but after two back to back wins, the confidence is improving and I believe we can make it three win in a row this Friday.”

"We know the game will be tough because Gicumbi have started the season very well, they are an organised team…but we will try to cause them problems and avoid minimise mistakes on our part,” added the former Etincelles coach.

The league will continue on Saturday when third-placed APR FC take on Musanze FC, who are in fifth place, at Nyakinama ground, while Mukura Victory Sports will come up against struggling SC Kiyovu at Huye stadium.

Newly promoted Kirehe FC, in sixth position with six points, will host Etincelles, while Espoir will host bottom side Amagaju FC in Rusizi.

Police FC, Etincelles, Musanze and Kirehe are jointly tied on six points but separated by goal difference.

Second-placed Rayon Sports, fresh from beating AS Kigali 2-0 last Sunday, will play away to Marines FC at Umuganda stadium in Rubavu on Sunday, while leaders Sunrise FC will be hoping to make it four wins in a row when they visit second from bottom side Pepiniere, who are still without a point.
