Togo v Rwanda

RWANDA’s national football team (Amavubi stars) will play their first build up match ahead of the final qualification round of the 2010 World Cup/ CAN this Wednesday against Togo.

Rwanda will be without four professionals; Olivier Karekezi (Ham Kam), Jimmy Mulisa (Rosarel), Henry Munyaneza (Germinal Beerschot) and Bobo Bola (Landskrona Bois) for the friendly.

Karekezi has a toe injury; Mulisa has a busy schedule with his club while Munyaneza and Bobo were both over looked by Coach Tucak Blanko who wants to use the Togo friendly to assess a number of home based players.

Ferwafa CEO Jules Kalisa also said that Hamad Ndikumana (Omonio Nicosia) is also likely to miss the tie due to flight connection problems.

This means that Rwanda will have two professionals in Abubakary Saddou (Libya) and Said Abedi (Difaa El Jadida).
Rwanda will field a new look side that does not have a number of first team regulars.

It is reported that defender Aloua Gaseruka (Atraco), Jean Bosco Uwacu (APR), Yusuf Ndayishimiye (Rayon), Simon Nyabyenda (Electrogaz), Robert Mugabe (Atraco), Fidele Nduwimana (Electrogaz) and Papy Gasana (AS Kigali) have all been dropped for the trip to Togo.
