On Saturday October 15th, 14 high school students of Green Hills Academy took the DELF JUNIOR B1 and B2 level examination at the Institut Français du Rwanda. They all passed with outstanding marks, 6 got above 80%.

The DELF (Diplôme d'Etudes en Langue Française) is the official French-language diploma awarded by France's Ministry of National Education. It is recognized around the world and is valid for life. 

Last year, 14 of our high School students were also awarded this prestigious diploma, which will help them in their future.  (To attend a French university you need to have at least B2 level DELF diploma.)

The DELF examination follows the European Framework for languages which consists of 6 levels of proficiency: A1 and A2, B1 and B2, C1 and C2. 

At GHA we value languages and we offer our students the opportunity to demonstrate their skill in many. At the end of Grade 6 in the 50/50 bilingual program we register our students for  the DELF PRIM A2 level. In High school, on a voluntary basis, we register the students for B1 and B2 levels.

Congratulations to Keisha, Eva and Nina who passed B1 examination and to Binta, Linda, Sandra, Sarah, Gloria, James, Sheja, Armand, Lisa, Nancy and Jessica who passed B2 examination!

We hope that next year more students will do this Diploma!
