Rwandan R&B heartthrob and songwriter Christopher Muneza is among the main acts expected to perform at a Pan-African music festival, "PANAF”, due in Brussels, Belgium, on November 6.

The festival, which is dedicated to promoting African music, will have seven music performers, mainly from West Africa, with only Christopher coming from East Africa. This is the first time that East Africa is being represented in the music festival.

The 22-year-old has promised to set the audience on ‘fire’ and represent Rwanda and East Africa in the best way possible.

"I am having intensive rehearsals. It’s a great opportunity to represent my country and East Africa at the festival,” he told The New Times.

Born on January 30, 1994, Christopher is among the most promising and popular Rwandan artistes. The R&B singer will leave on November 2 and will perform alongside a special band, Kisho band.

Christopher shot to prominence in 2013 — thanks largely to the success of his hit –his debut single –, Habona.

He has to his name such songs as "Iri Joro”, which he did with Danny Nanone; "Babyumva”; "Ndabyemeye”, "Agatima”, "Urubavu” and, "Abasitari”, to name a few.

He has also done several collaborations including "Wowe” with Knowless, "Ndakabya” with Riderman, as well as many others done under the Kina Music label. He is also known for his sense of style and has been a prominent figure in the local fashion circles.

The singer recently emerged second in the annual Primus Guma Guma Superstar music competition, walking away with Rwf7.5 million and a set of music instruments.

The aim of the "PANAF” is to become the springboard of African music in Europe by connecting African music lovers, and to present it to the world. This second edition is geared towards paying tribute to Prophet Gee, one of the pioneers of Hip Hop in Guinea and will rely on programming diversity.

Azaya (Guinea), Banlieuzart (Guinea), Singleton (Guinea), CNIK REE (Nigeria), Thierno Mamadou (Guinea), Bagada Wonson (Guinea), are among other artistes set to perform at the event.
