Dear Editor,
I would like to send my heartfelt condolences to all Rwandans and Africans in general who had a soft spot for the late Miriam Makeba’s music.

For sure, we have lost the queen of African music. The late South African singer has been a favourite of many, especially because she managed to educate the public about so many things through her music.

Although death has robbed us of this African activist, I am sure that many of you will agree with me that her name will always be remembered for being an activist, who strongly fought against apartheid. Makeba was an inspiration and will be irreplaceable.

Her death is such a terrible loss to many.

May her soul rest in eternal peace.
