After beating Botswana 3-0 on Wednesday, Rwanda take on hosts Kenya in final round robin match on Thursday at the ongoing Africa U23 Women Volleyball Championships at the Safaricom Indoor Stadium in Kasarani, Nairobi.

It was the second win for Paul Bitok’s girls after they beat Senegal in opening match on Monday and lost to Egypt on Tuesday. If Rwanda beat Kenya, they will join Egypt as Africa’s two representatives at next year’s World Championships in Slovenia.

Rwanda won first set 25-16, with Seraphine Mukantabara, Hope Musaniwabo and Lea Uwimbabazi doing an excellent job on spike, service and blocks.  Bitok’s team claimed the second set 25-19 and third 25-17.

"Now our focus will be on Kenya. It is going to be tougher than the previous matches. Our initial target was to be among the top three in this tournament and now we have achieved our target. Our focus now is to beat Kenya and qualify for the World Championships,” said Bitok.

On Tuesday, Senegal was humiliated by hosts Kenya 3-0 (25-17, 25-7 and 25-8).
