Rwanda U20 football team has been invited to take part in two Under-20 competitions, one in Morocco from November 9-13, and the 2016 COSAFA Championships, which will be staged in Rustenburg, South Africa, from December 7-16.
The Morocco U20 tournament is the first of its kind where Morocco Football Association partner countries including Rwanda, will be given a platform for their youngsters to display their skills as part of the on-going youth development efforts between their partner federations.
Rwanda has also been invited to compete in the 2016 COSAFA U20 tournament which will feature 14 countries. Rwanda will be taking the place of Madagascar, which has withdrawn from the competition.
The ‘Junior Wasps’ will be under the guidance of former Rwanda international Jimmy Mulisa, who is expected to name the team next week to start preparations for both tournaments.
