Rwanda National Police (RNP), yesterday, announced that Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Theos Badege had been appointed its new Commissioner of Public Relations and Spokesperson.

Badege replaces ACP Celestin Twahirwa who has been moved to head the Community Policing department of the Police.

Badege has until recently been serving as head of the Criminal Investigation Department, a body that’s set to change name to Rwanda Investigation Bureau (RIB) as part of broader reforms that are ongoing in the security and justice sectors.
