According to the report, the drop was due to declining Crystal Telecom share price, which shed Rwf2 to close at Rwf70 from Rwf72 on Friday. Bralirwa also dropped by Rwf1 during Monday trading session, closing at Rwf142 compared Rwf143 previously. Crystal Telecom recorded a total turnover of Rwf336,000 from 4,800 shares traded in two deals yesterday, while Bralirwa pushed 100 shares traded in one deal to realise a total turnover of Rwf14,200 during the trading session.
The bond market was quiet yesterday, and so were the other equities counters. Bank of Kigali closed at Rwf264; Equity Bank was at Rwf334; NMG at Rwf1,200; while KCB closed at Rwf330 and USL at Rwf104, the report indicates. At the end of the formal trading hours, there were outstanding offers of close to 4.1 million Bank of Kigali shares between Rwf260 and Rwf280 and no bids.
On BLR counter, there were outstanding offers of 23,700 shares between Rwf142 and Rwf144, while Crystal Telecom received an outstanding offer of 7,000 shares at Rwf77and no bids. On the bond market, there were outstanding bids for Rwf45 million worth of bonds between Rwf100.5 Rwf104, but there were interested investors during yesterday’s session.
