On New Year’s Eve, thousands of Rwandans gathered at churches and other places of worship to welcome the arrival of 2024.
The BK Arena hosted an annual congregation attended by thousands of believers, creating a refreshing atmosphere of praise and worship. The crossover to 2024 provided an opportunity to hear sermons that may guide them through the year.
Organised by Zion Temple Celebration Centre, the overnight event featured Asaph Ministries and solo gospel artistes such as Aime Uwimana, Chryso Ndasingwa and Prosper Nkomezi.
During his sermon, Apostle Paul Gitwaza, the senior pastor at Zion Temple, declared 2024 as "The Year of the Lord’s attention to His people”, emphasising God’s presence throughout the year. He referenced the verse "Before they call I will answer; while they are still speaking I will hear” from the Bible (Isaiah 65:24).
Meanwhile, at Kigali Convention Center, Women Foundation Ministries' Apostle Mignone Kabera led the congregation in welcoming the New Year 2024.
