Crystal Telecom was the only active counter yesterday and pushed over 3.76 million shares in seven deals worth Rwf270.7 million in total turnover during the trading session, the Rwanda Stock Exchange (RSE) daily market report indicates. The counter closed at Rwf72, gaining Rwf2 in value after spending weeks trading at Rwf70.

The rising Crystal Telecom counter boosted the Rwanda Share Index that increased slightly by 0.20 points to 128.27 points, while the All Share Index was up 0.03 points to close at 128.30 points yesterday.
However, the other six equities counters did not trade yesterday. Bralirwa closed at Rwf143, Bank of Kigali at Rwf264, Equity Bank was at Rwf334, NMG at Rwf1,200, while KCB was at Rwf330, with Uchumi Supermarkets at Rwf104. On the bond market, Rwf200,000 worth of bonds was traded at Rwf104.1 in one deal, raking in Rwf208,200.
Meanwhile, there were over 3.7 million shares on offer, ranging from Rwf260–Rwf280 at the Bank of Kigali counter, while Bralirwa received offers of 13,800 shares between Rwf142 and Rwf144, and Crystal Telecom got an offer of 7,000 shares at Rwf77. On the bond market, there were outstanding bids for 45 million worth of bonds between Rwf100.5 and Rwf104 and no offers.
On a weekly basis, the bourse recorded Rwf679.1 million compared to Rwf547.7 million last week, indicating an increase of close to 24 per cent in value.
