Spectacular fireworks illuminated Kigali’s skyline on Monday, January 1, 2024, to usher in the New Year. Thousands of Kigali residents gathered at the Kigali Convention Centre to join in the festivities.
Fireworks erupted from various spots throughout the city, such as Mont Kigali (Kigali Pele Stadium), Serena Hotel, Kigali Convention Centre, Mont Bumbogo, and Canal Olympia (Rebero).
At the stroke of midnight, people shared videos on social media, showing themselves dancing, singing, embracing, and kissing their loved ones to ring in the New Year, 2024.
