Casino Kigali on Wednesday started trying out their gaming tables, a sign that the much anticipated opening is soon.
The casino, located on Top Tower Hotel in Kacyiru is to employ 150 people. It was slated to start business on the 21st of October but management postponed, citing unforeseen circumstances.
Noel Skrynski, the Managing Director Casino Games Rwanda explained that supliers delayed to deliver the vital equipment.
"We never anticipated that the shipping and clearing of the equipment would take so long. But now we have received almost everything and we are set to begin,” Skrynski said.
Though not officially opened, a big number of people visited the casino on eager to try out the gaming tables. Many of the visitors were served with free drinks.
Management promised that the casino will offer Kigali night revealers a fantastic gambling experience which recreate the atmosphere and activity that would be found in a genuine casino.
"We have started training those people that applied for employment in the casino. So far, forty specialists are already in the country and the training of the surveillance team has been going on for three weeks now,” Skrynski said "We were waiting for the tables to arrive before we could not start training the dealers with out them,” he said.
