Rayon Sports forward Moussa Camara started training with his teammates to try and be fit for the opening game against Police FC on Friday at Nyamirambo Stadium.
The Malian striker aggravated a minor ankle injury on his right leg during a preseason friendly game against AS Kigali in a game which ended 2-0 in favour of Djuma Masudi’s team at Amahoro stadium last Saturday.
After scoring the second goal in the 39th minute of the game, he was taken off the pitch on a stretcher.
The Malian striker was expected to be out for at least two weeks including the opening game against Police FC.
Talking to Times Sport, Rayon Sports Secretary General as well as communication officer, Olivier Gakwaya said, "He started light training on Tuesday this week and he is expected to be fully fit after some days.”
However, head coach Djuma Masudi refused to make any comment about the 22-year-old player’s minor injury. Camara joined Rayon in August and signed a two year contract deal.
