Rwanda will host the 20th African Securities Exchange Association (ASEA) in November, Rwanda Stock Exchange (RSE) officials have said.
The three-day event, scheduled for November 27-29 in Kigali, will bring together member exchanges from all over Africa, as well as international partners to share experiences and chart a way forward on how to respond to the diverse financing needs that African economies face, Celestin Rwabukumba, the RSE chief executive officer, said on Monday.
Over 300 global and regional capital markets experts, regulators, law firms and issuers, as well as domestic, regional and international investors, and rating agencies will attend the event, according to Rwabukumba. Others are portfolio and investment managers, government representatives, as well as technology providers and stock market dealers.
During the conference, Rwanda will also mark the 5th anniversary of its stock exchange and launch its five-year strategic plan.
RSE is expected to make a formal announcement about the conference this morning.
